چکیده
Using a case study approach from past projects in Singapore, Australia, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam, we examine the benefits, but also some of challenges, to implementing green space urban design. Green can have multiple physical psychological wellbeing as well environmental including runoff quantity quality management, heat island abatement, air improvement, noise reduction. Water sensitive design (WSUD) be an important element here explore how modeling ecosystem services dynamic WSUD help facilitate sound planning management decision making support implementation. As illustrate with examples for Singapore believe that application elucidate benefits otherwise may not considered. Engineers include master plan, or redevelopment, generally planners are less conversant applying models. We discuss challenges integrating multidisciplinary visioning performance evaluation through our experience stormwater wastewater Cha Am, Thailand, included landscape architecture engineering classes at Thammasat University, Mahidol AIT. Through Phnom Penh, 3D visualization used effectively space. conclude user-friendly system is needed integrate tools thereby bridge gap between form function

Bridging the Gap between Systems Design and Space Systems Software
A challenging problem for software engineering practitioners is moving from high-level system architectures produced by system engineers to deployable software produced by software engineers. In this paper we describe our experience working with NASA engineers to develop an approach and toolset for automating the generation of space systems software from architectural specifications. Our experi...
متن کاملPromoting Environmental Justice Through Urban Green Space Access: A Synopsis
This article reviews literature on the connection between urban green space access and environmental justice. It discusses the dynamics of the relationship as it relates to factors such as environmental quality, land use, and environmental health disparities. Urban development stresses the landscape and may compromise environmental quality. Since some communities are disproportionately impacted...
متن کاملBridging the Genetical Environmental Gap in Parkinson's Disease through Epigenetics
Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder affecting 2% of the population over 60 years old, yet the exact molecular mechanism underlying its pathogenesis remains elusive. PD is a multifactorial disease with genetic and environmental factors intricately associated. Recently, epigenetic mechanisms have been recognized as potential mediators of environmental factors part...
متن کاملMolecular systems biology of ErbB1 signaling: bridging the gap through multiscale modeling and high-performance computing.
The complexity in intracellular signaling mechanisms relevant for the conquest of many diseases resides at different levels of organization with scales ranging from the subatomic realm relevant to catalytic functions of enzymes to the mesoscopic realm relevant to the cooperative association of molecular assemblies and membrane processes. Consequently, the challenge of representing and quantifyi...
متن کاملSystems Pharmacogenomics-Bridging the Gap
Biological systems are quintessentially complex. Normal function requires the constant orchestration of numerous pathways on widely varying spatial and temporal scales. To understand such a complex system, data has been collected on the molecular, cellular, organ, and population scales and across various -omes such as the genome, proteome, and metabolome. Unfortunately, it is often the case tha...
